April is Alcohol Awareness Month (3/9/2010)
OSSOM chapters are planning their underage drinking awareness campaigns for their schools and communities to maximize the impact of all the attention focused on this issue during the month of April. According to the CDC (Center for Disease Control & Prevention) alcohol is used by more young people in the United States than tobacco or illicit drugs. As a result, many OSSOM chapters are co-planning events and promotions with other community groups to make a difference.

OSSOM Celebrating 25 Years  (3/9/2010)
OSSOM is celebrating 25 years of youth-led prevention this year. To honor all of our achievements, as well as celebrate this important milestone with our volunteers, supporters and members of the past 25 years we are planning a special event to take place in the fall of 2010.

Washington Expansion (3/9/2010)
OSSOM is kicking of it's expansion into Washington state with two "Pizza & OSSOM Possibilities" events in Issaquah and Monroe. These events are open to students, parents and community members who are interested in learning how they can be part of OSSOM's expansion.
